Traductores Sin Fronteras
Traductores Sin Fronteras or simply TSF is a translation association consisting of two active translators: Lilly Blanche and Andrii Svystun, both of which, depending on the situation, also act as designers / software engineers / voice actors. Recently, a voice over actor Anatoly Belibov also joined the ranks of TSF.
Established back in 2017 (04.05), TSF's main goal is to create high-quality Ukrainian localizations for classic computer and video games, which were released during the so-called “golden age” of the computer entertainment industry.
A unique feature of TSF's localizations is frequent involvement of various volunteers and professional voice over teams, which all collaborate in order to create Ukrainian dubbing in addition to the usual text translations.
TSF operates on a voluntary basis and does not receive any material income from its activities.
In Spanish, Traductores Sin Fronteras means translators without borders, which is a reference to the fictional organization Militaires Sans Frontières, which in turn is a reference to the international association of doctors known as Médecins Sans Frontières.
The association's motto is Verbo Mortiferum Est, which stands for “the word is deadly” in Latin. In broader sense, this motto signifies the fact that in endless wars, languages play as important a role as the number of submachine guns and tanks this or that side may possess, and the threat they pose is just as deadly as that posed by the conventional means of warfare... if you know how to utilize them properly.
